Solution Architect

We are on the lookout for a Solution Architect who is passionate about designing and building software and distributed systems. If you are excited about working with cutting edge technologies, building unique products, and helping clients to architect and build exciting solutions, we want to speak with you.

Role Description

  • Lead technical implementation of customer demos, pilots and rollouts
  • Gather requirements for customer engagements and provide technical improvements
  • Contribute to and be responsible for implementation of customer projects
  • Provide resource & time estimates for customer solutions
  • Run technical architecture and implementation session with internal teams as well as external customers
  • Research and implement innovative solutions which can increase the value of Biqmind products
  • Ensure that the Software Definition of Done is adhered to
  • Compile and write documentation related to product development and customer projects
  • Provide guidance and mentoring to other teammates
  • Provide input on new tools, processes, technologies
  • Contribute to building and improving the technical knowledge of the team
  • Advise customers on cloud native development and architecture
  • Represent the company at industry conferences, webinars and through content contributions to key tech publications

Requirements

  • Hands-on experience leading cloud-based infrastructure, and application migration and modernization projects
  • Deep knowledge of and experience Kubernetes, Containers, CNCF Projects, and Micro-service architecture
  • Experience with security of software in a container-based environment
  • Comfortable architecting across multiple cloud platforms, on-premise and edge
  • Certified on at least one major cloud platform (AWS, Azure, GCP), with hands-on experience
  • Operational experience running distributed systems at scale
  • Proven experience planning and implementing automated CI/CD
  • Experience implementing DevSecOps culture into teams
  • Experience working with distributed teams to facilitate project work
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Understanding of engineering development processes and working environments including Scrum, XP, Kanban, Lean, etc

Software Architect – Kubernetes Focus (Contract)

Role Description

  • Provide the organization with best practices when it comes to architecture and design of frameworks and distributed systems
  • Research and share innovative solutions which can increase the value of Biqmind software products
  • Complete POCs to validate potential technical solutions
  • Write technical user stories to be completed which bring value to Biqmind software products
  • Create and implement a technical development roadmap
  • Work with product owners and/or solution architects to come up with suitable technical solutions to match requirements
  • Architect solutions which are scalable, fault tolerant, distributed systems
  • Architect and design scalable API infrastructures
  • Conceptualize and present potential software solutions to clients
  • Provide commercial and content teams with necessary technical documentation
  • Conceptualize and present potential software solutions to clients

Requirements

  • Demonstrated experience in cloud native applications, cybersecurity & open-source technologies
  • Experienced working on large scale software projects
  • Experience architecting applications for distributed cloud
  • Have been responsible for the architecture of at least 3 systems
  • Expert level in design patterns, including microservices and strategies on service separation
  • Expert level in Docker, Containers, and Kubernetes, including low level operators and details
  • Required experience with Kubernetes operator framework
  • Fluent in RDBMS, NoSQL and distributed databases and their design
  • Can explain concepts and ideas to all levels clearly, concisely, and to the point
  • Experience with security of software in a container-based environment
  • At least 8 years of experience across project and product development

Software Engineer / Senior Software Engineer

We are on the lookout for full stack software engineers excited about working on today’s cloud native and Kubernetes challenges. You enjoy solving the complexities of cloud native development and are passionate about bringing excellent solutions to market. You are an effective communicator, unafraid to question assumptions and enjoy being part of a larger cloud native ecosystem and community.

As a member of the software development team, you will have the opportunity to build significant breadth and depth in your cloud native portfolio; from working on development of Biqmind’s advanced Kubernetes tools to participating in transformative client projects.

Preferably you have relevant recent experience and have worked for at least 4 years. Beyond formal credentials, we are seeking talented people with the heart and the self-drive to grow.
