DevOps Engineer – Specialist Services

Are you a DevOps Engineer with a background in Systems Administration who is excited about building robust leading-edge infrastructure?

Role Description

  • Building, designing, managing and maintaining company servers and network infrastructure
  • Working with OpenShift, Kubernetes, Docker, RHEV and other Open Source technologies
  • Managing and administrating company equipment in remote data centers and on premise
  • Daily system monitoring and response to security or usability concerns
  • Building and operating scalable, fault tolerant, distributed systems • Upgrading systems and processes when needed
  • Responding to and resolving office help desk requests
  • Administering infrastructure, including firewalls, databases, malware protection software and other processes
  • Installing and testing computer-related equipment
  • Researching and implementing innovative solutions to increase value of Biqmind products
  • Participating in scrum or related agile processes and ensuring rules are adhered to
  • Compiling and writing system infrastructure related documentation 

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline
  • At least 5 years’ experience across administration of servers, Linux & DevOps
  • Experience administrating physical infrastructure, including machines hosted in 3rd party Data Centre’s
  • Experience with installation and administration of Red Hat OpenShift
  • Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Linux OS
  • Understanding of engineering development processes and working environments including but not limited to Scrum, XP, Kanban, Lean etc
  • Experience with versioning control tools and continuous deployment

Head Software Architect

We are on the lookout for a Head Software Architect who is passionate about designing and building software and distributed systems. If you are excited about innovation and building a technical development roadmap to enable customers to harness the best of today’s technology towards transformation, we want to speak with you. 

Role Description

  • Provide the organization with best practices when it comes to architecture and design of cloud native software products, containerized and microservices based distributed systems
  • Research and share innovative solutions which can increase the value of Biqmind software products
  • Conceptualize and present potential software solutions to clients
  • Provide commercial and content teams with necessary technical documentation
  • Complete POCs to validate potential technical solutions
  • Write technical user stories to be completed which bring value to Biqmind software products
  • Create and implement a technical development roadmap
  • Work with product owners to come up with suitable technical solutions to match requirements
  • Architect solutions which are scalable, fault tolerant, secure, and distributed Hands on development in partnership with the development team
  • Utilize cloud-based platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
  • Ensure that the Software Definition of Done is adhered to when delivering User Stories
  • Participate in Scrum or related Agile processes and ensure the rules are adhered to
  • Provide guidance and mentoring to teammates
  • Develop and manage Biqmind Architect Office Advise management on product direction
  • Advise clients on cloud native development and architecture

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline
  • Experience working with modern Open-Source Technologies in particular Red Hat products
  • Have been responsible for the architecture of at least 3 products/systems
  • Expert level in design patterns, including microservices and strategies on service separation
  • Expert level in Docker, Containers, and Kubernetes, including low level details and operators
  • Proven experience with cloud native languages – required Golang
  • Detailed experience with Red Hat Open Shift and other container / cloud platforms a major plus
  • Fluent in RDBMS, NoSQL and distributed databases
  • Genuine passion for learning and new technologies
  • Can explain concepts and ideas to all levels clearly, concisely, and to the point

Product Owner – Cloud Native Tools

Software Engineer / Senior Software Engineer

Our team is working on CAPE, a CNCF approved cloud native tool, that provides multi-Kubernetes cluster application deployment and disaster recovery. Preferably, you would have relevant recent experience and have worked for at least 4 years. Beyond formal credentials, we are seeking talented people with the heart and the self-drive to grow. If you have participated in hackathons, start-up product builds, open-source software projects or technology communities, we want to hear from you.
